The Smart Q4 Perk: Bring Workplace Wellness to Your Team

4 min read

Give your team a little extra care with workplace wellness brought directly to your office.

Year-end deadlines don’t slow down when someone calls in sick or heads out for holiday travel. On a small team, even one absence can add to everyone else’s workload—and Q4 leaves little room to absorb it. As calendars fill and demands pile up, supporting the people keeping your business moving deserves a place on the schedule, too. Westwood IV Therapy brings IV hydration and wellness services directly to your office, making it convenient to offer your team a thoughtful wellness perk during a demanding season.

When one person on a 20-person team is out sick, the work does not stop. It moves to someone else's desk. In Q4, that desk is already full. The Integrated Benefits Institute puts a number on it. For every dollar U.S. employers spend on health benefits, another 61 cents is lost to illness-related absence and reduced output on the job.

For small and medium-sized businesses, Q4 can bring a unique set of challenges. Between busy schedules, holiday travel, and year-end deadlines, finding convenient ways to recognize and support employees can be a welcome addition to the workday.

We Know Q4 Is a Pressure Point

Three calendars collide every fall:

  • The school year. Earlier mornings, more pickups, fuller family schedules.

  • Cold and flu season. The CDC rated the 2024-2025 flu season high severity, with an estimated 51 million illnesses and 23 million medical visits.

  • Year-end close. Deadlines, client events, holiday travel.

Large companies have bench depth to absorb all three. Small teams feel them at once.

Making Workplace Wellness More Convenient

Employers are noticing. In SHRM's 2026 Employee Benefits Survey of 5,472 organizations, 88% rated health-related benefits as very or extremely important.

SHRM also describes a broader move away from addressing health issues after they arise and toward investing in wellness ahead of time. On-site health fairs, for example, grew 4 points to 23% of employers.

The common thread: bringing wellness to where people already are, during the workday.

What Is a Workplace Wellness Pop-Up?

A workplace wellness pop-up is an on-site event where licensed nurses set up a temporary wellness lounge in your office. Employees step away for a 35 to 45 minute IV hydration session or a quick vitamin injection, then head back to their day.

Westwood IV Therapy is a local, women-led team founded in 2022 and based in Westwood, Massachusetts. Our clinicians bring backgrounds in emergency medicine, critical care and wellness.

How It Works, in 4 Steps

  1. Choose your date and format. A short planning call covers team size, schedule and budget.

  2. Your team reserves a time. Every guest completes a health screening before any service.

  3. We set up and run the day. Nurses arrive with everything needed. Our event team handles check-in and payment. You provide a room and a standard outlet.

  4. Everyone steps back into their day. We break down and leave the space as we found it.

Using FSA Dollars Before Year-End

Many employees are sitting on Flexible Spending Account balances right now, and the calendar matters.

  • FSAs are common. SHRM found 62% of employers will offer them in 2026.

  • Fewer grace periods. SHRM reports 5 points fewer employers now offer an FSA grace period than last year.

We accept FSA cards. Eligibility is set by each plan. Under IRS Publication 502, FSA funds are meant for medical care rather than general wellness, and some plan administrators ask for a Letter of Medical Necessity. Employees can check with their administrator before booking. When booking an appointment you require a receipt for your FSA just let us know and we'll provide it at the time of service.

The Wellness Pop-Up format pairs especially well here, since employees book their own services and can pay the way that works for them.
