Bubbles, a Raffle, and Thousands of Neighbors: Westwood IV Therapy at Westwood Day

Most of the events we work are someone else’s hometown. On Saturday, September 19, it is ours.

Westwood IV Therapy will have a booth in Vendor Village at Westwood High School during Westwood Day, from 10 AM to 3 PM. We are bringing bubbles, a raffle, and the people who can answer any question you have about what we do.

About Westwood Day

Westwood Day is the town’s annual community celebration, organized by Westwood Recreation on the Westwood High School campus. The morning opens with the Westwood Day 5K Road Race and a 1 Mile Fun Run, and the rest of the day fills in with crafts, games, sports demonstrations, a K9 demo, face painting, the Roaming Railroad, a food court, and Vendor Village.

A few details worth knowing:

  • 5K Road Race: 9:15 AM start. Online registration closes Friday, September 18, at 5 PM.

  • 1 Mile Fun Run: 10:15 AM start. Free, stroller friendly, all ages, with finisher medals.

  • School Spirit Trophy: awarded to the Westwood elementary school with the highest share of student participants in the Fun Run.

  • Packet pickup: 7:30 to 8:45 AM at the Flahive Concession Stand.

The organizers say the day draws more than 6,000 people from Westwood and the surrounding towns.

Why This One Is Different for Us

Westwood IV Therapy started here. Our founder, Kristen Dooher, is a Westwood resident and a registered nurse who spent 13 years in the Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center before starting the practice in 2022. The company name is not a marketing decision. It is the town.

That changes how a day like this feels. At a conference or a golf tournament, we meet people once. At Westwood Day, we meet neighbors. The person asking how a mobile IV visit works might be a parent from the Fun Run, a run club that trains on the same roads we drive for in-home visits, or someone we will see at the grocery store next week.

There is also something useful about being asked hard questions by people who know where you live. It keeps a local business honest, and we like that.

What Is at the Booth

Bubbles. Westwood IV Therapy branded bubbles, free, for anyone who wants them. Kids first.

A raffle. Stop by, enter, and follow us on at least one of our socials to be eligible. The prize and the drawing time will be posted at the booth. Free to enter, no purchase necessary.

Answers. Our team will be there all day. If you have ever wondered how a mobile service actually works, this is the place to ask. In a home. For a moms group or a run club. At a private event, a golf tournament, a road race, a corporate offsite, or a trade show. We build all of them, and we like talking about it.

You do not need a plan to stop by. Bring a question, or just bring the kids for bubbles.

Two Things We Would Love You to Do

1. Follow along. We post where we are, what we are setting up, and behind-the-scenes from events across Greater Boston. Find us on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok at @westwoodivtherapy. Following is also how you enter the raffle.

2. Tell us about your event. Team outing, member social, golf tournament, road race, office wellness day, or a group of friends who want a visit at home. If it is in Massachusetts, we want to hear about it.

Find us at the booth or email events@westwoodivtherapy.com.

Find Us in Vendor Village

Vendor Village sits near the west side of the high school, close to the food court. We will post our exact booth location on Instagram and Facebook the morning of, once the tents are up.
