In-Home Iron Infusions for Your Concierge Patients

Personalized IV iron care, coordinated with your practice and delivered at home.

Westwood IV Therapy partners with concierge physicians to provide medically supervised, in-home iron infusions for eligible patients with documented iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia. Our NP-led team reviews each referral, coordinates scheduling and provides treatment updates to your office.

Experienced registered nurses deliver care in the comfort of your patient’s home, offering a convenient option that complements the personalized care your practice provides.

When to Consider a Referral

Refer patients for clinical review when IV iron may be appropriate, including:

  • Documented iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia

  • Oral iron intolerance or inadequate response

  • Persistent iron deficiency despite oral supplementation

  • Documented iron deficiency before a planned procedure

  • Patients who would benefit from home treatment when clinically appropriate

Treatment eligibility and suitability for home infusion are determined individually following review of laboratory results, medical history and prior treatment.

*While treatment plans are individualized, many clients may receive a series of three Venofer infusions.

Our iron infusion program is fully self-pay, with payment collected prior to service. While we do not bill insurance directly, we provide a superbill that clients may submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

A Thoughtful, Safety-First Approach

Iron infusions are medical treatments, not standard wellness IVs. Every client is carefully screened and reviewed before treatment to ensure care is appropriate and safe.

Our goal is to create an experience where clients feel informed, supported, and cared for every step of the way.

If you think low iron may be affecting how you feel, we’re here to help guide you through the next steps. To learn more, please don't hesitate to call us at (781) 731-1170 or email hello@westwoodivtherapy.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a partnership work?

Refer your patient with relevant history and recent labs, if available. Our team coordinates patient outreach, intake, clinical review, scheduling and any approved in-home infusions.

With the patient’s consent, we provide evaluation and treatment documentation so your practice can continue coordinating their care.

Which patients may be appropriate for referral?

Patients with documented iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia may be appropriate for evaluation, particularly when oral iron is not tolerated, has not adequately improved iron levels, or is unlikely to be absorbed well.

Our NP reviews each case before recommending treatment. We do not provide iron infusions solely for general wellness or an energy boost.

What information do you need?

Please provide the patient’s contact information, reason for referral, relevant history, previous iron treatment and any history of infusion reactions.

Our requested labs include a CBC, vitamin B12, and an iron panel with TIBC and ferritin, ideally from the past month. We can arrange testing when recent results are unavailable.

Who evaluates the patient and provides treatment?

Liliana “Lily” Fera, NP, conducts a virtual evaluation and determines whether an infusion is medically appropriate. If approved, a registered nurse administers treatment at the patient’s home.

Treatment plans and follow-up testing are individualized.

How long does treatment take?

Each infusion takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, followed by monitoring. Many patients receive three infusions within six weeks, but the number and timing depend on their prescribed plan.

Our team schedules directly with the patient and provides preparation instructions.

What safety measures are part of treatment?

Patients are medically evaluated before treatment and monitored during and after each infusion.

Venofer prescribing guidance requires monitoring for at least 30 minutes afterward and until clinically stable, with personnel and therapies immediately available to manage serious hypersensitivity reactions.

How do communication and payment work?

With the patient’s consent, we share evaluation and treatment summaries with your practice.

The evaluation and first infusion are $900, and additional infusions are $500 each. A three-infusion series totals $1,900, plus any applicable lab or blood-draw charges. Patients pay directly and receive a superbill for possible insurance reimbursement.

Before publishing, have Lily confirm the safety wording and treatment timelines. Also confirm whether “Quest at no charge” includes both the blood draw and all lab testing, so that line accurately describes what patients pay.
